Ikos Olivia in beautiful Halkidiki

One of our favourite of the Ikos Resorts is the Ikos Olivia which is found on the idyllic Gulf of Toroneos in beautiful Halkidiki in Northern Greece. This contemporary masterpiece is set on its own white sandy beach close to the traditional Greek village of Gerakini. Surrounded by 22 acres of stunning, landscaped gardens, the resort has 142 rooms and four pools. including a lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar.

Ancient olive trees and fragrant firs provide both shade and privacy throughout the spacious grounds; the manicured lawns eventually meeting the white sands and refreshing waters of the Aegean.

Discover one of Greece’s best kept secrets... The Halkidiki peninsular is still relatively unknown and unspoilt. It's an area covered by three peninsulas north of the Greek mainland: Kassandra, Sithonia and Athos.

Kassandra is the most popular and many visitors head for Sani with a purpose-built resort with a yacht-filled marina and blue flag beaches. Also Kalithea for lively after hours fun and Hanioti, a quieter town with evening markets in the local square.

Sithonia is considered the most beautiful with its dense pine forested interior and unspoilt fishing villages offering a glimpse of life from previous centuries.

Athos is a monastic republic and off limits to visitors, but can be visited along its shores by boat tours.
