Nikki's Blog: TRS Turquesa - the perfect adults-only hotel

TRS Turquesa in the Dominican Republic is only 23 km from Punta Cana International Airport, and a shuttle service is available if pre-booked.

TRS Turquesa is an adults-only hotel inside a resort. In the same resort, there are three family-friendly hotels which also belong to the Palladium Hotel Group:

  • Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa

  • Grand Palladium Bávaro Resort & Spa

  • Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino

As a guest of TRS Turquesa, you have full access to the facilities across all four hotels: pools, restaurants, bars and more.

This is a benefit that is exclusive to TRS guests; Grand Palladium guests cannot access the facilities at TRS Turquesa Hotel.

As I was staying in TRS, I had access to the other three hotels. These were easily accessible by foot, golf buggy or even a road train which you can hop on and off.

I got to know the concierge and staff well and I felt very much at home. Every morning, I would pop downstairs and arrange activities and restaurant bookings very easily. The butler team were always on hand.

With 15 restaurants, three of which are exclusive to TRS, and countless bars, I was spoilt for choice; and all of them were excellent. There was also a daily barbecue by the beach as an alternative to using the restaurants.

As well as having access to a gorgeous beach, I also had three private pools to choose from. This is one of the great attractions of the resort and although it covers a large area, it still manages to feel intimate and exclusive.

As well as relaxing by day, I was never short of entertainment. There is a theatre, cabaret, gift shops, sports centre, gym, spa, watersports (non motorised are complimentary), a sports bar and so much more.

I took some time out to visit various room categories and was impressed with all that was available. I especially liked the swim-up rooms.

Palladium also offers very exciting wedding packages and have a dedicated team that cater to every need.

A couple of days before the end of my stay, I noticed an influx of military uniforms and police vehicles in the various reception areas. I enquired what was going on, and was told that there was an important conference taking place at the on-site convention centre, and because Palladium was so well thought of, the President of the Dominican Republic had chosen the resort himself.

If it’s good enough for the president, it’s certainly good enough for me.
