If you are looking for that perfect Caribbean getaway that blends luxury, relaxation, adventure and a little bit of local flavour, Sandals Grenada ticks every box and more.
Whether you are travelling as a couple, with friends, or even solo, this resort has that warm, welcoming energy that makes everyone feel at home.
From the moment I arrived, I knew this trip was going to be special. The resort is only a few minutes from the airport, so you can be sipping a cocktail on the beach almost as soon as you land.
Why Sandals Grenada stands out
Set on the stunning Pink Gin Beach, this all inclusive resort is the perfect mix of luxury and laid back island life. The beach itself is soft, peaceful and absolutely beautiful, ideal for a morning swim or an afternoon nap under the sun.
The resort is smaller than some other Sandals properties, but that is actually one of the things I loved most. It is easy to get around, you quickly find your favourite spots, and you start to recognise friendly faces, both staff and other guests.
The service is exceptional. Every single team member I met went out of their way to make the stay special, and the food was incredible. With multiple restaurants to choose from, you will find everything from fresh seafood to perfectly cooked steak, all paired with a good glass of wine or a tropical cocktail, if you fancy something fruity.

The rooms and resort
The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, spotlessly clean and filled with thoughtful touches that make you feel completely spoiled. Some even have their own private pools or swim up access, perfect for a morning dip before breakfast.
There are plenty of pools and whirlpools dotted around the resort too, so whether you want to be sociable with a drink in hand or find a quiet corner to unwind, there is a spot for you.
And yes, the beach really is as stunning as it looks in the photos - calm, clear and perfect for simply relaxing.
Things I did and loved
Although my stay was a short duration and there was lots happening, I managed to have a few hours just chilling by the pool and taking in the gorgeous surroundings. The vibe at Sandals Grenada is so easy going that you cannot help but relax.
The evenings were always full of life with entertainment, live music and themed events, creating a lovely atmosphere where everyone felt part of the fun.
It is one of those places where you can do as much or as little as you like. Some days are for exploring, others for sitting by the sea with a drink in hand and watching the world go by.

Diving in Grenada
Grenada is an absolute paradise for divers. The waters are clear, warm and packed with incredible marine life. There are colourful coral reefs, fascinating shipwrecks and plenty of dive sites suitable for all levels.
If you have ever wanted to learn to dive, you can do so at Sandals for an additional cost. They have experienced instructors who make it easy and safe to get your certification right there on your holiday.
If you are already a certified diver, you can enjoy up to two dives per day included in your stay at Sandals resorts, which is amazing value for anyone who loves being underwater.
Exploring beyond the resort
Grenada is called the Spice Island for a reason, and there is so much more to see than just its beautiful beaches. Here are a few ideas if you fancy getting out and about during your stay.
Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park

This is an absolute must see. Just off Molinere Bay, a short boat ride from St George’s, you will find one of the most unique attractions in the Caribbean, the Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park.
Created by artist Jason deCaires Taylor, it is a collection of human-shaped sculptures sitting beneath the sea, slowly being transformed into living reefs. It is haunting, beautiful and completely fascinating.
You can see it by snorkelling, scuba diving or even glass bottom boat if you would rather stay dry. It is suitable for all levels, and tours can easily be arranged through the resort or local operators.
Waterfalls and spice tours
Head inland and you will discover a completely different side to the island, with lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls and spice plantations where you can see nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa being grown. A local guide will take you through small villages and give you a taste of everyday Grenadian life.
Catamaran and sunset cruises
If you fancy a bit of adventure on the water, hop aboard a catamaran cruise. Some include snorkelling stops and beach barbecues, others are more relaxed sunset sailings with music and rum punch. Both are wonderful ways to see the island from the sea.
Explore St George’s
Grenada’s capital, St George’s, is one of the prettiest ports in the Caribbean. Wander the colourful streets, browse the markets and visit the old forts for stunning harbour views. It is small enough to explore in a few hours and a great way to spend a relaxed morning off the resort.
Final thoughts
Sandals Grenada really does have it all. Luxury without pretence, incredible food, stunning surroundings and some of the kindest staff you will ever meet. It is ideal for couples looking for romance, but just as perfect for friends or solo travellers who want a beautiful, easy going Caribbean escape.
You can spend your days diving, exploring, or doing absolutely nothing, and every option feels like the right one.
If you are ready to experience Grenada for yourself, get in touch and I will help plan the perfect trip, from your flights to your excursions and everything in between.
