"Every aspect of our FIFA World Cup trip was sorted by the great Nikki Curran" - Darran

Trip of a lifetime for me and Harry these past two weeks at the FIFA World Cup in Dallas, Boston and New York. Sunshine and thunderstorms, some amazing food: Texas Barbecue, a New York slice, bagels, Boston's famous North End for Italian food, lobster rolls and clam chowder on the harbour. A JFK tour in Dallas including the 6th floor of the book depository and the grassy knoll, the Freedom trail in Boston, Boston Common, the Tea Party, Staten Island Ferry, the West Village, Central Park. We learned that nobody walks anywhere in Texas (except Brits), that most Americans think we are Australian, although one Uber driver told us we sound like Daddy from Peppa Pig, so he got the accent. 🐷

We saw some football too! We saw all three England group matches, each played in incredible stadiums, each one bloody miles from the cities themselves, one with a roof on a blistering hot day in Dallas (well, Arlington), and two without roofs where it rained cats and dogs but where the party kept going.

There were songs about something the RAF from England did in 1940, and some classics Hey Jude, Wonderwall, and even a new ditty for Thomas Tuchel which I can’t get out of my head.

Every aspect of our FIFA World Cup trip was sorted: three excellent hotels, tickets for each match, everything arranged by the great Nikki Curran at NC Travel.

Thought I best post this before we crash out on penalties to DR Congo on Weds! 😎⚽️
